The SBA connects with the GMSDC to promote federal opportunities for small businesses

A few weeks ago the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council hosted their annual minority business conference in Atlanta.  The keynote address was delivered by Rob Wong, the Associate Administrator, Office of Government Contracting and Business Development at the US Small Business Administration.  The addition of Mr Wong is perfect especially in today’s market where the Small Business Administration is deciding its new path under its current leadership.

According to Bezinga, in “his role, Mr. Wong advocates throughout the federal government on behalf of small business owners wanting to do business as federal contractors and subcontractors. He also helps to set small business contracting policy and hold federal agencies accountable to reach their small business contracting goals.”  The SBA program helps small businesses win hundreds of millions of dollars worth of contracts through the federal procurement process.  Often the first step is to connect with people like Mr Wong, learning about upcoming opportunities.
